Cordish plans to open co-working space expansion this spring
The Cordish Cos. said Friday it plans to double its downtown Baltimore co-working space, opening an expansion this spring.
The space, called Spark, opened in The Offices at Power Plant Live! about a year ago, starting at about 30,000 square feet, with a mix of desks, private offices and meeting rooms. Spark currently houses 84 companies and has more than 250 members, Cordish said.
The firm, which hosted a one-year anniversary celebration on Thursday, said in June it was speeding its expansion plans in response to demand, especially for private offices.
The new second floor space, expected to open in May, is planned to have more than 18 offices, two new conference centers, and spaces for events and bigger presentations, as well as additional open desks.
“We’re thrilled to continue to invest in our city and its growing entrepreneurial base,” said Jonathan Cordish, a principal at the firm, said in a statement.
